If you want a water heater that relies on LP Gas and Electricity with an easy to activate electric ignition, then this is the tank for you. The Suburban® Direct Spark/Electric 12 Gallon Water Heater has a direct spark “on” switch that when combined with the optional remote wall plate turns on the water heater wherever you install the switch (remote switch sold separately).

With Suburban’s DEL Model, not only can you heat up the water in your RV with both LP Gas and Electricity, you can now turn both of those options on from the INSIDE of your camper! All you need is one of Suburban’s DEL Series compatible On/Off Remote Switches (available in white, black, or cream).

A 1440 watt Incoloy electric element provides a recovery rate of 6.1 gallons per hour. For a FAST RECOVERY rate of 16.2 gallons per hour, both gas and electric can be used simultaneously.

The limit switch, reset button and on/off electric element rocker switch (if applicable) are conveniently located in a housing behind the removable outer door. The electric heat element and drain plug/anode rod are also located there. For convenience of installation, rough-in openings for Suburban® water heaters are small and less likely to interfere with RV exterior design.

When a Suburban® Advantage™ porcelain-lined tank is properly maintained, tank life may double or triple its three-year limited warranty saving owners the cost of premature replacement. In addition, every Suburban® Advantage™ tank is pressure tested twice during the manufacturing process to ensure its integrity.
